Monday 20.1.2020

Kalajoki, Finland

On the first actual day of the project, Monday 20th of January, we first had a meet up at the library at 8.35. First our principal Lena gave us a welcome speech, and then we had some ice-breakers which were quite funny. 

Then the other countries’ students did their presentations and showed us their survey results. Everyone’s presentations were really good! 

After that we had lunch at our school, and then   we did the survey in our international groups, some at our school and others in the  Town hall. After that we were free to do whatever.

After school some of us went to Maaria's house and from there we went to Kokkola. 

After an hour long drive we arrived in Kokkola and we all headed straight into the shopping center called Chydenia. 

After shopping for a while we went to eat at Rax. The pizza and ice cream tasted amazing after a long day. After eating we just walked around Kokkola for a while. 

Instead of Maaria’s place some of us went to the Café Minrose to drink some hot chocolate after school.

While some people were having fun in Kokkola, a few people went to Johanna’s place to have a spa night. They went to sauna, made some face masks and played spin the bottle. 

Some people also went to Himanka and spent time in a goathi while listening to music and toasting marshmallows.
