Denmark Day 1

On the first day in Denmark we got to sleep a little later than usual, probably to compensate for the huge amount of jetlag we were experiencing. We, the students, got to the school at around 8:30, the teachers were late.

We had some basic icebreakers planned. After the icebreakers we presented the videos we had made back in Finland. Everyone’s videos were amazing!

After the presentations we had some sandwiches. All the Finns were shocked when we got to know that Denmark actually doesn’t have free school food. Bringing your own food to school is a very foreign concept to us.

After lunch we went around the town of Vejen asking strangers to answer a few yes-no-questions. Then we had some free time to spend with the hosts and their families.

In the evening we visited a sporting hall that was unbelievably big. There was something to do for everyone: trampolines, an indoor football field, a swimming hall etc.

After we got home from the sporting hall everyone went to sleep.
